Jeannine Foster-McKelvia- director, actor and playwright. Some of her directing credits include, Swing and Miss N’Victas (Negro Ensemble Company), Belonging, (an original student work, CUNY College of Technology), A Doll’s House and The Story (Sarah Lawrence College), A Question of Taste (original production at Pittsburgh Playwright’s Theatre and producer/director in the Midtown International Theatre Festival, NYC.) The Kitchen (Pittsburgh Playwrights Theatre). Assistant Director to veteran director Allie Woods, Jr. for the 2011 revival of When the Chickens Came Home to Roost for Woodie King Jr’s National Black Touring Circuit and directing assistant to veteran Broadway and television director Ed Sherin for the Pittsburgh Playhouse production of A Moon to Dance By. Jeannine is a graduate of Duquesne University and Sarah Lawrence College and an alumnus of the Lincoln Center Theatre’s Directors Lab. We welcome Jeannine to Short Plays to Nourish the Soul. She finish the year with direction of “Gwendolyn’s Love on December 15th.
